Parents Give Great Feedback
|

|
Parents and Governors of Walker Primary School, Southgate, London, are even more impressed with the school website since the school upgraded their web building tools. Walker Primary school create and maintain their website using Millennium Schools - a website content management tool driven by take2theweb technology. Since the latest version of take2theweb has been released, many schools have chosen to upgrade their existing websites; taking advantage of the more flexible system, larger site capacity and host of additional features.
Liz Whincop, Headteacher at Walker Primary School asked parents for their feedback on the new improved school site:
"In all it is a very colourful, well organised and highly detailed website. I for one will certainly continue to refer to it." Christina Scordellis, Parent.
"What a wonderful site! Full of news, images and pictures that present the school in a very true light. Felt very proud to be able to call myself a governor of it." Rebecca Myers, Parent Governor.

Why Upgrade?
|
|
|
The school has been using Intuitive Media's Millennium Schools system for several years, and staff have created a dynamic, professional website full of information - so why did they decide to upgrade? Liz Whincop explains:
"The reason we wanted to upgrade was two fold. Firstly we had used up all the pages available, and with the limited format we were restricted to how many images we could include. Secondly, we wanted to be more creative with the site and make it look more professional."
The upgraded site features a stunning slide show on the home page which gives an excellent snapshot of school life. The site takes advantage of the enhanced flexible templates and image upload technology that allow Liz and her team to create the look they want with minimal technical expertise. Liz is impressed with "the ability to choose the way images are presented," and the greater flexibility in page layout. "Being able to link to other pages within the site so easily," has been another useful feature.
As the staff at Walker Primary develop their site, the may also take advantage of other advanced features including:
multiple contributor accounts - which allow members of the wider school community to contribute to the website without compromising the safety of the site
private pages - a new password system that enables sections of the website to be available only to certain people, such as staff or governors
nested websites - enabling schools to include windows to other websites within their own site - ideal for linking to external online resources such as GridClub SuperClubs.
These are just a few of the additional features that the latest version of take2theweb provides.
