Upgrade to take2theweb - Castlehead High School

Castlehead High School in Paisley, Renfrewshire has embraced the concept of a school website where all members of the school community contribute and benefit. The school has created a very professional, comprehensive and useable resource that not only provides information, but is now being developed as a tool to enhance teaching and learning throughout the school.
The original school website was created using Millennium Schools and has recently been re-published using the latest version of take2theweb, taking advantage of many of the additional features that the new version of take2theweb offers.

Since upgrading to the lastest version of take2theweb, the school has begun using the enhanced website administrative tools to set up varying levels of access for individual departments within the school. The multi-editor facility enables teachers, parents and other members of the school community to contribute to the website without compromising the security of the site. Because new content cannot go live until it is approved by the website manager, there is no danger of altering current content accidentally. The website manager can grant or withdraw individual sub-editors' access to any part of the site instantly. This is a crucial safety-net for large establishments like Castlehead High School that wish to enable and empower the whole school community to contribute.

Many pupils now use the school website as a portal to access information on careers, further education and life skills such as anti-bullying, healthy living and welfare.
