LATEST NEWS AND REMINDERS
Mrs Grierson, the new headteacher at South Morningside, took up her post on Monday 1 February.
Following the recent talk on internet safety (for parents of pupils in P5-7), it was suggested that links to some of the information should be made available to all parents. The following site, used throughout the talk, may be of interest: www.thinkuknow.co.uk.
Hats for Haiti Day (Friday 29 January) raised the magnificent sum of £750. Thank you to everyone who took part for making this fundraising effort such a success. Profits from the Parent Council's Family Quiz Night on Saturday 30 January are also going to the Haiti appeal.

As you will be aware, the School was open as normal during the recent cold snap and we would hope that this would remain the case in the event of any further cold spells. Information about emergency closures is broadcast on Radio Forth and displayed on the Council's website:
