Camp is about friendship and helping, about caring and having fun, about courtesy and about energy and lots of it; camp is at the end of their time at Malsis when people look towards the future and spend just a little bit of time, especially up in the hills, thinking about the past, thinking about people they won’t see for a while and thinking about unknown challenges that lie ahead.

The top!

The staff were royally looked after by all and sundry, bacon and egg rolls appearing out of the blue at breakfast, tea and coffee being offered, pints of beer being passed around (only for the members of staff), and we certainly felt that we had had a bit of a holiday as opposed to what might be called in the modern world, a stressful time of it. These camps are about learning and I know for sure that everybody on the camp went away at the end knowing just a bit more about themselves, knowing that they can go that little bit further whether it is up a hill or down the lake and learning how to cope with showers in which you have to run around to get wet, washing hundreds of plates and knives and forks at the end of a tiring day……

Well done leavers, we will miss you and haste ye back in the future.
