Beginning school is an exciting event for all children no matter whether pupils are 4 years or 12 years or any age between. I would suggest that the prospect is just as exciting for many parents too and I wish to take the opportunity to welcome all parents to the start of our joint venture - that of educating your children. The staff and I know full well the value of parental involvement and we realise that we cannot complete our task alone; we depend on your sustained interest and support. We envisage a partnership between parents, teachers and the community of the Lawthorn area of Irvine.
