Skelmorlie Primary is a village school and, as such, has a particularly warm and friendly atmosphere. It is a single storey building set in its own extensive grounds. The building is fully accessible to wheelchair users. The main teaching area is of semi-open plan design comprising of a spacious open area and nine teaching bases/classrooms. Other facilities include a large fully equipped gymnasium, separate changing and shower facilities, a separate dining area, school kitchen, and music base. Outdoor play facilities consist of a large tarmac area and extensive grassland.
The staff have a very caring attitude towards pupils and take a great deal of interest in their well being.
