Broken Tick-Tocks
Students are making unique clocks, which they are selling to raise funds. Each clock sold by ‘Broken Tick-Tocks’ is hand crafted from locally secured raw materials, and is the only one of its kind. A whole range of designs and sizes are available, including some that were made from off cuts that would otherwise be discarded as waste. Some of these had integrated into their design, fragments of the original bark. On the reverse side of every clock is the name or the abbreviation of ‘Broken Tick-Tocks’, along with the initials of the person who made it and the year it was made.

Save your old clothes, bedding, curtains, shoes belts and handbags. every six month or so we take part in the Bag 2 School project. The school will be gives out bags that can be filled with any of the above items. Bags containing items can then be sent back to school. The bags are then picked up by the Bag 2 School Project, then sorted and reused. Before they leave all the bags are weighed and we get paid accordingly. Our next collection will be in January 2009.

Match Tickets
Every so often the school gets the chance to raise funds by Sunderland AFC's Cashback Scheme. The scheme allows students and their familes to buy tickets at a very reduced rate. In return for selling the tickets, the club gives us a percentage of the cash back.

Recycling Ink Cartridges & Toners
We also raise funds by collecting used inkjet cartridges, laser toners and photocopier toners. We collect these from around the school, from students bringing them in from home or their parents places of work and from local companies donating them to us. We can provide collecting bins and which we will pick up from you. If you would like to donate your own or your companies used ink products, e-mail me at mister_connelly@yahoo.co.uk or phone (0191) 533 5335
